The CONNDOR is a Flugtag flying craft with a form that is largely based on Gustave Whitehead’s original Condor design.  The construction materials consist primarily of bamboo, wood, canvas, epoxies and fasteners. Removed are the masts and supporting guy wires.  Added are fortified bike wheels, axles, and handles for human powered acceleration off the mighty peer at the banks of Boston’s Charles River.  The “canoe” styled base section drops off into the water allowing the glider section of the CONNDOR to soar, and if the wind hits just right, we hope to land ashore in Cambridge.
